Many of us are finding the chance as
we enter these elder years to open
space and time for new creativity
including the relationship toward
ourselves and others.
For those not involved with the Waldorf Movement and/or not familiar with this context of “Biography,” this experiential opportunity can be seen as an artistic, conscious review of our lives in a safe community of learners. We enter the ideas through sharing and exploring our own lives with others, and in hearing others stories.
For decades I have been teaching this Life Reflection work, called “Biography Work,” primarily to teachers and parents in the Waldorf Education Movement. The idea for this class began when former “Biography” participants over 56 asked to learn more about the Later Adult Phases. Rudolf Steiner gave the indications of this human development understanding, and it has been developed over the last 100 years. I have created a picture chart of the 7-year cycles to help take in these phases of soul development.
